IG-NTI (Incisal Guidance)

The Discluding Element has been reduced in vertical dimension (compared to the Standard Device), extended labially, and is tapered to the lateral borders of the device.   Primarily intended for the mandible (although not exclusively), the IG is the most commonly used device
IG-WIDE

The wider dimension enhances retention when necessary.
The thicker DE provides additional strength and vertical dimension.

NTI-RV (reduced vertical)

The Discluding Element has been reduced in vertical dimension, as well as shortened labially.  The labial wall has also been reduced in thickness.  Primarily intended for the maxilla.
 Standard

For general nighttime use, the Standard is typically considerably altered by the practitioner for proper vertical dimension and horizontal orientation...and often times resembles the "NTI-RV"
Standard-Wide

Provides additional retention. For example, when the incisors have been significantly shortened (or are too "flat"), or when an incisor is missing.
Daytime

Is commonly used on the incisors, opposing an NTI device (typically an IG) to prevent the IG device for fracture and facilitate gliding movements.
Also for the migraine patient who requires reduction of daytime activity.  See: Protocol for Migraine Therapy

Universal / "Slidebar"

Can be used as a Daytime device, or when the Standard device's Discluding Element is too big.  In the presence of destructive grinding, a "slidebar" can be made over the opposing incisors.
