NTI
Tension Suppression System
The most effective FDA-approved method of
migraine prevention
Custom fabrication of a lower NTI-type device

| Use .06"
thick "Clear Surgical Tray" vaccum form sheets. Paper towel was laid over the posterior segments to
facilitate the removal of the plastic |
You'll
need both orthodontic resin and SNAP acrylic
The first
layer of orthodontic resin along the incisal edges

Adapting
orthodontic resin in its damp, doughy stage, forming a Discluding
Element with a posterior projection to accomodate for extreme
protrusion...
If the
plastic is still warm, the resin
will harden very quickly.
Final
sculpting. There is an anterior projection to allow for the
opposing incisors to contact in retrusion.

If you
need to do a direct reline for added retention, SNAP will
NOT adhere to the plastic UNLESS you pre-condition the plastic with the
liquid monomer of the orthodontic resin.
After the
monomer has dried (a few seconds), reline the device with SNAP at it's
lingual
side (the amount shown might be a bit excessive if the model had not
been blocked on on the lingual) and seat in the mouth for 2 minutes.
