(The NTI Hands-on Course)
A full-day, hands-on course presented by Jim Boyd, DDS, developer of the NTI therapeutic protocol.  Attendees are welcome to bring a patient. Class size is limited to allow for a more intimate setting.

Having suffered 12 years with daily headaches and frequent migraines, Dr. Boyd developed the NTI therapeutic protocol for his own therapy.
Dr. Boyd currently practices with The Headache and Neurology Center of Southern California as Director of TM Disorders, Dr. Boyd is past Senior Clinical Instructor at the White Memorial Medical Center's Craniofacil Pain Clinic in Los Angeles.

Migraine: a TM Disorder
Therapeutic Use of Botox in the Dental Practice

Immediately following the NTI Therapeutic Protocol course, neurologist Andrew Blumenfeld, MD, provides a full-day course on the nature of migraine, how it is affected and modified by TM disorders, and where dentistry can best fit into the therapeutic picture.   The second half of the course focuses on Botox's therapeutic properties, including hands-on instruction and guidance with Dr. Blumenfeld.  Attendees are welcome to bring a patient. Class size is limited to allow for a more intimate setting.

  • Migraine pathophysiology and how the NTI bridges the gap between medicine and dentistry
  • Becoming your neurologist’s most relied on referral
  • Hands-On Botox® administration

Andrew Blumenfeld, MD, is the director of The Headache and Neurology Center of Southern California.  A member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Headache Society, he has published widely in areas of headache and migraine while being an active researcher in headache and botulinum toxin therapy. He has vast experience in botulinum toxin therapy (Botox) for headache disorders.

Dr. Blumenfelds's presentation will address all aspects of Botox® treatment and particularly its role in dentistry that falls within the Dental Practice Act.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a guest or patient that Dr. Blumenfeld can either demonstrate Botox with, or to provide expert guidance to the attendee.
